engagement portraits {waukesha, wi}

First of all, this is my new favorite park in the Waukesha area.  Leah & Michael brought me out to Retzer Nature Center because it is a sentimental place for them & now I know why… it’s gorgeous there! I had so much fun with these two and Michael even brought his guitar! They were so naturally romantic and you can tell they absolutely adore each other in these pictures. Thanks you two for introducing me to Retzer!

Ah….love…. i LOVE it! And how cute are these two!! We had so much fun on a gorgeous fall day. We started off at Rotary Park and finished at Lime Kiln Park in Menomonee Falls.  Laura & Max are so adorable and have  great chemistry together. They’re getting married in June and I can’t wait!!

baby announcement {boutique card}

AH! I just got these cards back from the lab and i LOVE them. They are so cute, I had to give them they’re own little photo session to show them off  :)

These are called boutique cards and they come in all kinds of different shapes and sizes. I can’t wait to do some more….I’m thinking Christmas cards…graduation cards….save the date cards…thank you cards…..etc.

children’s portraits {milwaukee 3rd ward & lakefront}

What a fun day I had with these two little cuties! We started off in the Historic Third Ward in Milwaukee and got some great alley shots.  Boy, how i love that cream city brick :)  We then migrated over to the lake front and found a cotton candy truck on the way! I got a great shot of Ryan and Kara in front of the truck. I only wish I could have gotten more but there was a swing set next to the truck which seemed much more interesting to a 2 year old than a lady with a camera…go figure.  We then found some sand to play around in and rocks to climb on and partied down until sunset.  The last shot of them walking hand in hand on the beach is a perfect ending to a perfect day.

senior portraits {brookfield,wi}

A guy, a truck, a warm summer day… what more do you need? Meet Joe who proves it isn’t always the smiles that win us over. I love his serious expressions. The eyes are the windows to the soul and they sometimes say more than a smile. We snapped some quick pics in a field of grass on the side of the road and I love how they turned out. There is a great sense of character and  individuality in these photos. You don’t have to be like everyone else to achieve great things, right Joe?  Joe is graduating from Menomonee Falls High School in 2012. Stay true!
